Thinky games are those that ask you to carefully reason your way through puzzles and challenges; games brimming with curiosity and discovery. If you find yourself thinking through a problem and then, when the insights finally dawn on you, exclaiming “aha!” – you’re probably playing a thinky game.

About the Thinky Game Awards

Thinky Awards is a ceremony dedicated to highlighting the incredible thinky games that boggled our minds over the past year. With these awards, we hope to shine a spotlight on as many thinky games as we can, not just the winners!

Most of the Thinky Awards categories were voted on by a jury of 33 thinky fans, journalists, and content creators from the wider community, alongside three “Community Choice” categories that were voted on by the public.

Thinky Games and the Thinky Awards are funded by the Carina Initiatives, who believe in thinky games for creating a culture of problem solving and encouraging kids towards STEM subjects.
