London, UK - July 25th, 2023 - Modern Wolf and Afterschool Studio have today announced sci-fi strategy game Cantata will officially leave Early Access on Steam this August 15th, 2023.
Developed by Afterschool Studio, this colourful, turn-based epic sends players to the frontlines of a war-torn alien planet, with more than 27 hours of story content to delve into, a unique soundtrack, and tools to create new maps and modes of your own or in multiplayer.
Capture regions, build structures, expand your army, and more. In Cantata, you'll battle for supremacy as one of three unique sci-fi factions in a genre-defining experience - combining the scope of Grand Strategy titles with the turn-based skirmishes of classic Tactics games. Brought to life through beautifully hand-crafted art, music, and writing, players can dominate the treacherous world of Shoal across nine fully-authored story campaigns, including three new chapters for release!
Step beyond the story, with both online and local multiplayer, create your own battlefield, and challenge your friends with a feature-rich Map Editor and Skirmish Mode. Will you expand on Cantata's lore for yourself, or create something new entirely? The fate of Shoal will soon be in your hands…
Cantata will leave Early Access and launch on Steam on August 15th, 2023 at £19.99/$24.99/€19.99 with a launch week discount of 10%. A deluxe "Dreamwalker" version will also be available which includes the base game, the Cantata OST, and Digital Wallpapers at £25.50/$31.18/€26.98 - with a 20% discount on launch week.
