SILENT HILL: Townfall developer No Code rebrands, becomes SCREEN BURN
After a decade of making unforgettable games like Stories Untold and Observation, the team at No Code is stepping into a new era, and with it, a new name: SCREEN BURN.
Founded in 2015 in Glasgow, Scotland as a 2-person team, No Code’s form has evolved. What began as a defiant statement - doing big things despite the limitations - no longer fits a team now filled with incredible developers of all disciplines.
“We’re not who we were in 2015,” says Jon McKellan, founder and creative director. “We’ve grown and changed. For a start, we have coders now! So, we needed a name that instead reflects what’s always been at the heart of the games themselves: the imperfect feel of old technology and the lasting impact of a story that stays with you long after the credits roll.”
SCREEN BURN captures that spirit, comparing “the ghost of an image burned into an old CRT screen” to the memory of a game forever imprinted onto your mind.
The team continue to work on SILENT HILL: Townfall with Konami Digital Entertainment (KONAMI) and Annapurna Interactive. Stay tuned for more information.
